We had a great time with friends in Miami and Key Largo over Labor Day weekend. We were able to enjoy time together, see the sights in Miami, and enjoy some awesome scuba diving in Key Largo!
It was so much fun to hang out with our friends, one of which grew up in Miami and is Cuban, so she knows all the ins and out. There was lots of yummy Cuban food that weekend!

Scuba diving was so much fun. Perfect weather and conditions! We dove at a few different locations, each with it's own beauty. The fish were stunning and the water was a beautiful aqua blue and clear. We ended up diving each spot all by ourselves because every time we pulled up the other boats were in the process of leaving, so it was perfect! The only downside to the entire day were the jellyfish! YIKES! They were everywhere! Once we finally broke through the layer of jellyfish at the top of the water (about 1-2 ft deep) we were good. Of course there was one casualty...I got stung once. OUCH!
Enjoying a gorgeous, calm morning
I loved going through all the mangroves
Can you see all the jellyfish at the top of the picture? Gives you an idea of what we were dealing with.
It's like we were in "Finding Nemo!"
Diving at the "Christ of the Abyss" Got to see Jesus in the water!
After diving we enjoyed a yummy seafood dinner and headed back to Miami. And what trip would be complete without that beautiful Keys sunset? :)
