We Made It!

So, Josh and I FINALLY made it to Belgium a couple days ago. It's been crazy since we arrived so it's taken me a little while to get an update on here.

Our trip was extremely long! We got up early Sunday morning and our friend Deidra took us to the airport (thank you again Deidra). Once there, it took us a little while to check in since we had so many pieces of luggage and Brodie. He did awesome at the airport. We were able to walk him on the leash and he was being showered with affection from everyone at the airport. He was in heaven! Then we had to say goodbye to him, which just about killed me! I cried of course. It was very sad to see my little boy go! Once Brodie was gone, we made it through security, ate some breakfast, and called a few people. We were so exhausted that morning that we slept most of the way from Seattle to New York!

We arrived in New York on time and we were unable to see Brodie, which made me sad again. We were hoping we would be able to let him out to use the bathroom but we weren't. We didn't have enough time, so the crewchief down at the plane checked on him and pointed his kennel in our direction so we could see him through the window. I cried again because I really wanted to get Brodie out and love on him and make sure he was ok. We were delayed getting out of New York about 1 hour, which of course put his behind getting into Brussels. The flight was extremely long (6 1/2 hours). Josh was able to get some sleep, unfortunately I wasn't. I watched some movies and listened to my iPod. Landing in Brussels was awesome...time to get off the plane!

We arrived in Brussels, picked up our luggage and they brought Brodie to us. He did so well!! He was really excited to get out of the carrier and get some love. He of course was the center of attention throughout the airport. And guess what? Brodie didn't go to the bathroom in the kennel!! We were so proud of him! He of course took a 5 minute long pee as soon as we got out of the airport. LOL All of our luggage arrived at the airport safely, it was a safe trip for Josh, Brodie and I...so all in all things went smoothly. We are definitely glad to be here and off the plane! Brodie is as well! LOL
