We Have a House!!

Today we signed the lease for our house. WOOHOO! It was very interesting. We had a guy who works in the housing office help us with paperwork and to translate. Our landlords speak french and english, so the guy helping us had to speak both. It was weird being on the other end of that process. Just a few weeks ago we were landlords renting our house and now we're the renters. Everything went very smoothly and our landlords are extremely nice. We get the keys to the house on Thursday evening. Can't wait to move in!!

We had a great weekend. Did some traveling on Friday to Mons, a city about 15-20 minutes from here. We saw some awesome buildings, drove around in some crazy roads, and had a wonderful time. We had dinner with our new friends, Randy and Danielle (Josh works with Randy), at their house. It was nice to have a home cooked meal, hang out with some friends, and get out of the hotel for a while. Even Brodie was able to enjoy the evening. He had a blast hanging out with everyone at their house, and he was exhausted by the end of the night. Saturday we slept in and tried to go to this zoo-like place, but it was closed. We stopped by this sandwich/bakery place (which was awesome) for lunch. We FINALLY got to have some Belgian chocolate. YUMMY! Sunday we traveled to Brussels by train (very interesting) and had a wonderful time. The buildings and the architecture were incredible! Other than freezing our you know what's off, we had a great time! Definitely looking forward to going back when it's warmer. We enjoyed a true Belgian lunch and had a beer sampler...FINALLY had some Belgian beer. WOOHOO! All in all it was a good, first weekend here in Belgium.
