Christmas season at the Price house has officially started! The house is decorated, Christmas shopping is almost complete, and we caught a glimpse of Santa himself at the downtown Enterprise Christmas parade!
Deacon loved the parade and has asked everyday since if we can go watch it again.
We've started a new tradition this year...the Christmas basket. Inside the basket is a little gift/activity, one for each day, that Deacon will get to open. We will do that activity that day and of course, spend lots of time talking about the true meaning of Christmas. Some of the gifts are things we already had around the house (i.e. Christmas movies, Christmas books, etc). Others are something for us to do together as a family (i.e. make Christmas cookies, go look at Christmas lights, etc) and some are new gifts, Christmas themed, for Deacon to do during the day (i.e. new Mickey Christmas coloring book, a Christmas painting, etc). I'm really looking forward to this and seeing how it goes. Deacon enjoyed opening day 1 and 2 and helping us decorate the tree. I'm hoping it'll be something we'll continue through the years.
Day 1- Put up and decorate the Christmas tree
Day 2- Decorate the house (inside/outside) with Christmas decorations
