Our Week

We started potty training Deacon this week and he has been doing awesome! He didn't want to sit on his Elmo potty to begin with but by the end of the week was peeing as soon as he sat down. Of course he still has some accidents but there are maybe one or two a day. We're so proud of him and he's proud of himself too! He gets super excited everytime he goes and has his own little potty dance. Not to mention he gets to put a sticker on his Mickey Mouse chart and gets an M&M. Those two things alone are enough incentive!

Josh is starting back to school next week! He's registered for classes and hopefully in a year will have his Bachelor's degree. Since the military is going to pay for his schooling he's also considering getting his Master's or getting his private pilot's license. We're proud of him too!!

We have FINALLY found our new church home. It's here in Enterprise and it's called Calvary Chapel. We're happy that the church searching is over and really feel this is where God wants us. We attended morning service the past two Sundays and LOVED it! Throughout the week we've also attended ladies Bible study Tuesday night and Wednesday night small group. Josh and I are both so excited to get plugged back in and to continue to grow in the knowledge of God!

We had a family day in Dothan on Saturday, spending the day shopping, enjoying lunch, visiting the local pumpkin patch, and attending a friend's birthday party. It was a fun-filled day and we were exhausted by the end! We really had a great time at the pumpkin patch! We took a wagon ride out to the patch itself so we could pick our own (actually cut them from the vine!). We also picked up some beautiful sunflowers, saw some farm animals, and jumped on some pretty cool bounce houses.

Josh and Deacon also started GeoCaching. If you haven't heard of it, it's a worldwide thing where you can look up different areas and coordinates in a particular place and go find a "treasure" that someone else has left behind. It's like a big treasure hunt and it's everywhere! We had friends in Belgium that would do it throughout Europe. Josh discovered it and found out there was one behind Publix here in Enterprise, so he took Deacon and they went to "find some treasure." They both loved it and now Josh is hooked. His first find was an old ammo can someone left behind filled with little trinkets. The rule is if you take something you must replace it with something for the next 'explorer.' Once Deacon saw the little treasures inside he knew what he wanted. A yellow rubber ducky that lights up! He calls it his treasure! So cute!

My Grandma Joan (GG) and Thom came to visit this weekend. We had a great time visiting with them and relaxing. We did visit the pumpkin patch again and Deacon was just as excited about it the second time.
