As most of you (if not all) of you know, we have finally made it back to the states! After 3 1/2 years of living overseas we're back in the good ol' USA and LOVING IT!
Our move went very well, with only one hiccup right before we left, but praise the Lord that all worked out. We had no other problems and said au revoir la Belgique in mid June. We flew into Maryland and spent four days traveling down to Florida, seeing family and friends along the way. It was great to see everyone and we thoroughly enjoyed driving through our country again...taking in all the beauty!
Deacon hanging out on the kitchen floor watching Elmo...surrounded by boxes.
Our wonderful friend, Sylvie. We miss her and can't wait to see her again soon!
We flew out of Germany and had an entire afternoon to kill before having to be at the airport. Deacon needed his afternoon nap so Josh took him to the furniture section of the BX and they both caught some zzz's.
After checking in at the airport, Deacon burned some energy in the play area before boarding the plane.
Deacon did very well on the plane and much better than I had anticipated. He had a melt down before take off but did really well after that. He enjoyed watching Elmo and Mickey on Josh's iPod.
Our first stop was West Virginia to see Josh's grandparents. It's been almost two years since we've seen them and it was so wonderful to see them again!
Our second stop was Virginia to see our good friends Chris and Deidra. Although we never feel like we get to spend enough time with them, it was so great to see them again after 3 1/2 years!
Our third and fourth day traveling was spent driving and just stopping somewhere for the night. We did get to enjoy a ferry ride in Virginia though!
We stopped for the night in South Carolina and after a long day of driving this was the perfect way to end the day!
