This past Saturday myself and two friends, Evangel and Maxine, enjoyed a croissant cooking class in Paris. It was such a wonderful day! We arrived early morning, took in a local Saturday market while enjoying some Starbucks, learned to make those delicious European croissants, did some sight seeing around the Eiffel Tower, and soaked in the gorgeous weather.
We thoroughly enjoyed the croissant class and I'm looking forward to making these for family and friends. After leaving class I have a new appreciation for those who make croissants and will no longer complain about having to pay 3 Euro for a croissant. The total time to make those little pieces of heaven in your mouth is 4-6 hours. OUCH! Who knew it was such a tedious and meticulous process to make croissants. Know now that if I ever make these for you, I love you very much! LOL
Viewing the fresh fish section of the market. Nothing like the smell of fish to go along with your Starbucks.
Ready and excited for class to start.
Maxine and I learning to properly roll out our dough.
My little beauty (Le Croissant aux amandes). I couldn't wait to eat it. By this point I was starving.
Fresh out of the oven. YUMMY!
My plate of flaky, buttery bliss!
Finally, I get to eat!
Evangel, myself, and Maxine enjoying the fruits of our labor.
After our cooking class we walked to the coolest kitchen store ever. Josh and I visited in February when we took our cooking class and I fell in love with that store. It's small, old and just super cool. This is the biggest ladle I've ever seen.
Of course no visit to Paris is complete without a stop at the Eiffel Tower. Oh how I love Paris!
