Josh and I had a wonderful trip in Switzerland. We decided to take 4 days and go camping, hiking, and whitewater rafting. Everything was absolutely wonderful and the trip was definitely needed. Josh and I were so busy that week with work and vacation bible school that we hardly saw each other, so this trip was our chance to catch up and we loved it! We had perfect weather the entire time and were absolutely amazed with all the beautiful scenery!

DAY 1
We drove to Switzerland and set up camp. The campsite was huge and had a lot of ammenities. Our campsite was located in the back in a secluded area, which was wonderful! We were right on the river and had views of waterfalls, glacier covered mountains, and high cliffs. After setting up camp we cooked dinner, relaxed down by the river at our campsite, and went for an evening walk where we were able to hike behind one of the waterfalls; Stubbach Falls. It was awesome!

DAY 2
We slept in, enjoyed a nice breakfast, and went whitewater rafting! We were so excited to go rafting and a bit nervous (well, I was). After receiving our wetsuits and safety instructions, we hit the water. We had a blast! Josh and I sat in the front of the raft, which of course meant we received most of the water (FREEZING water I might add). It was such an exhilerating experience and something we'll definitely do again!
(You can just barely see us in the front!)
("THIS IS AWESOME!")
After rafting we went for a short hike up the mountain to a town called Wengen. Short hike, but difficult. It was pretty much straight up the mountain. Whew! It was a gorgeous hike though.
(Finally made it to Wengen!)
Day 3
We slept in, enjoyed a nice breakfast, and went hiking to see some waterfalls. The valley where we were located is truly gorgeous. It's know as the "Valley of 72 Waterfalls." We didn't see 72, but we did see many! We visited Trummelbach Falls, a set of waterfalls that are fed by 10 different glaciers and are inside a mountain! It was awesome! Looking at the waterfalls you can see the massive amount of power the falls have. We hiked to the tallest waterfall in Switzerland, Murrenbach Falls and Josh "took a shower" in the falls. It was VERY cold! Afterwards we took a cable car to the top of the mountain and hiked along the ridge. It was very beautiful and provided a view of the entire valley and mountains.
